Description:
Black's Lookout, our informal designation for this observing site, is a height of land easily accessible from Highway #3. The Black's have graciously permitted our group access to the top via their private driveway.  There is plenty of space for observers and equipment.  The horizon is unobstructed almost 360º and definitely towards the northwest. There are no services.

This site is probably the best site of all the sites we surveyed.  What it lacks in amenities it makes up for in its natural setting, its great vistas and the Transit circumstances.

This view shows only part of the observing site looking east.

The Transit's external egress will occur near the horizon towards the centre in this picture.
